Jagadeesh Reddy

Natural Farmer, Chittoor

A farmer from the Chittor district in Andhra Pradesh, Jagadeesh Reddy took up natural farming in 2012 after a workshop with Padma Shri Subash Palekar (founder of Zero Budget Natural Farming) in Tirupati. After five years, his 40-acre land near Moghili ghat is thriving with bumper yield.

Since then he has won numerous awards for natural farming and is a strong advocate who has trained hundreds of farmers in the art of farming without any chemicals.  

In his words, my mission includes three objectives, "Practicing natural farming, sharing this knowledge with farmers and the general public and delivering the naturally grown food to people. By following these objectives I want to save soil health, environmental health as well as the health of people around me."
